Just in time, halfway through Lent, we are offered some joy and celebration.
Who else needs encouragement, hope and love in the midst of humility and brokenness?
God knows we need a reprieve from reflecting on our frail, crooked heart and necessary surrenders.
A Joyful Season. Bringing a lift for low soul desire.
Join in the Dance and Symphony of God
Break out with music and song.
Decorate with beautiful flowers and rose colors, because it’s ‘Rose Sunday’ – ‘Refreshment Sunday’. ‘Laetare Sunday’ – which means ‘rejoice’.
God is Joy
In your presence, there is joy and at your right hand, everlasting pleasure.
The traditional reading for this celebration begins with Isaiah 66:10-11.
Rejoice, O Jerusalem. Rejoice with joy, you that have been in sorrow.
So that is what we will do.
Balance our awareness of brokenness with beauty.
Dance and sing and feast with gladness and true joy.
And what is it we are so glad about?
Love is our source of genuine Joy
It’s all about love.
Passover love. Easter love.
Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Psalm 138:8
Knowing you are always, unconditionally loved.
You can be happy at the thought of God’s loving, forgiving presence.
Fulfilling your deepest human longing.
The rest of the journey is making a home in your heart for this love which will nourish you for the rest of your life.
Now, you can finally get over yourself, trusting in the freedom you have in Christ.
The Father’s Love
The whole Bible story is God’s love letter to us.
He pursues us longingly for relationship, friendship and love.
God loves you. He always has. He always will
Think about God’s love for you. Feel His love for you.
Join in the dance.
Be glad and rejoice.
God loves you !!
