Learn More About Flourishing in Life And Relationships
I aim to provide resources from personal life experience, many years in advanced training, continued learning and professional practice.
I have written and researched steadily over the years on living well in life and relationships, authoring many articles, contributing to other books, magazines, appearing in media, as well as providing practical resources to help you flourish in life.

I was born and raised in South Africa, coming to America in the mid 1970’s. I still have a slight accent, reflecting my English influenced upbringing.
I now live in Southern California with my husband Rick, a business leader. We have two adult daughters Nicole and Caitlin, a son in law Jeff, a grandson Roman Ryan, and a delightful little white dog, Daisy.
Stress and challenges are also part of my life. So I flow forward to you how God has taught and led me on my journey to Flourish in healing, growth and transformation.
In my renewal and recuperating playtime, I enjoy playing with food in the kitchen to create nutritious meals, exercising outside, being out in the wonder and beauty of nature, attracting birds and butterflies and tending to my Jubilee garden.
I also enjoy the cultural tradition of afternoon tea with friends.
There is a magnificent Passionist Fathers retreat center right around the corner from where I live where I spend a lot of time, listening with others in Spiritual Direction and leading Spiritual Formation groups.
As a daily rhythm (besides aiming to be productive with meaningful work, checking emails and surfing the net for updated resources to pass on to you) my intention is to move my body for vitality, eat healthy healing foods, read, journal, practice spiritual habits of regular prayer and meditation, cultivating connection with God and meaningful relationships with others.
I received a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary School of Psychology, a Master’s degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Kinesiology from UCLA.
I am also a Benedictine Oblate with the New Camaldolese in Big Sur, CA.

A portion of all Flourish proceeds goes to helping others less fortunate to flourish and thrive. Especially children, widows, Africa and believers in Israel. These are a few of the organizations we flow forward to and partner with.
